THE idea

DO GOOD WHILE HAVING FUN

The Bars March motto is: good times for a good cause. We raise money by enjoying the best things in life: delicious drinks, great company and our favourite bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants. Every year, all these elements come together in a fun-filled month of cocktails, parties, dog-friendly events and a multitude of ways to #haveadrinksaveadog. For nine years we've been Australia’s only annual celebration of bar culture for charity, and the cheeky antidote to ‘dry’ fundraising months. We’ll drink to that!

THE challenge

VISIT AUSTRALIA'S BEST BARS

We really can’t think of a more pleasant way to raise money. Every March, our participating bars create a Bars March drink, add it to their menus and donate a portion of the sales to our charity. Your task? Head out to these bars, get together with friends throughout March, raise a toast and enjoy the Bars March drinks responsibly.

THE cause

SUPPORT FOR ANIMAL SHELTERS

Bars March donates our dollars to animal welfare organisations. In NSW, we support Animal Welfare League NSW in their tireless work to save the lives of abandoned and neglected animals. In other states we support a range of similar groups. Check participating bars to find out the animal welfare group they support.

HI GUYS!

It has been almost a year and a half since my dear Ridgeback Bodhi died and I still miss her every day. We had a wonderful twelve years together and she really did bring so much love and companionship into my life. I miss her presence, affection and those soulful eyes of hers. Nothing beats the friendship of a dog and Bodhi was a special girl.
